SPRING BOOK FAIR NEWS
The Spring Book Fair is coming to Rickards Middle School from Monday, March 10th through March 14th.
The book fair will be open during school hours and during Academic Night, Wednesday, March 12th at 6:30 pm.
All students will be given the opportunity to visit the book fair during their Reading classes. All purchases are also available online by clicking here.
Friends, family, and neighbors can also shop online and Rickards Middle School receives credit for your online orders. Shop for your home library, your child's classroom library, or as gifts for other family members.
The Spring Book Fair accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express Credit Cards, and Visa/MasterCard Debit Cards for all online purchases. CLICK HERE to shop now!
Rickards Middle is hosting our First Academic Fair on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 6:30-8:00pm. The fair will highlight the many ways students are learning math, science, social studies, language arts, and diversified arts lessons. Our fair will display different projects that our students have created in the school's different disciplines. Please do not miss this event.
Annual Title 1 Parent Survey
Parents it's that time of year again for our Annual Title 1 Parent Survey
The survey is designed to help our school parent involvement team find out how well we are working with our parents so we can improve our parent program where needed. We truly appreciate your feedback.
The survey will be available from March 3, 2014 through April 4, 2014.

FCAT Camp Is Here
We are pleased to announce the 2014 Rickards Middle School Saturday Academic Success Camp. This program provides free support and preparation for the upcoming State Assessments, FCAT/EOC, in the following areas: Math or Algebra (all grades), Reading (all grades), Civics (7th grade only), and Writing and Science (8th grade only). Academic Success Camp will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on the following dates: February 1, February 8, February 22, March 1, March 8, March 15, April 12, and April 19.
Pre-registration letters were sent home on January 23, 2014. You can also access a copy of this letter via the link below. Snacks and incentives will be provided. If you are interested in your child attending, please return the lower section of the letter by January 29, 2014. Please be advised that transportation will not be provided. Prompt drop off and pick up of your child is greatly appreciated. We know that this extended learning opportunity will greatly benefit our students. See you in February!
